One of the challenges I face regularly at the public library, is to find a "good book for a boy." Sometimes is the parent's request but often it's the boy himself who wants something but isn't sure where or how to find it. Following a recent request by a parent of a young boy who was "not a reader", I started looking for resources for boys. Charles London's article in the Huffington Post hit a nerve...I think it's high time to get in tune with boys and their books!

Boys DO read... does it really matter if they prefer Captain Underpants and Ripley's Believe It of Not over Robert Louis Stevenson and Jack London? I don't think so. Encouraging readers of all ages and tastes is essential!
