We are so excited to bring the grassroots documentary film FRESH to our area! The Richland Library is spearheading the effort to educate our surrounding communities on the benefits of diversified agriculture and the social justice movement of "eating local". According to director ana Sofia joanes, "FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are reinventing our food system." The movie will air at 2pm & 7pm on March 20 at Tulpehocken United Church of Christ social hall. Proceeds will benefit the Richland Library.
A panel of local business owners, including Sean Cavanaugh, chef and proprietor of John J. Jeffries at the Lancaster Arts Hotel, will answer questions about local food after the 7:00pm screening. Local, organic and natural food vendors will have information tables and representatives to answer questions before and after both screenings.
